National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The tenure was distinguished by wide-ranging participation in camps, each contributing uniquely to cadet development:

• Scuba Diving Camp, Chanakyapuri. This camp introduced cadets to underwater training, enhancing their confidence, adaptability, and ability to operate in unfamiliar environments. It emphasized overcoming fear and developing mental composure.
• Team Building and Leadership Camp (NIM Uttarkashi) – I & II. Conducted in a high-altitude environment, these camps focused on leadership under pressure, decision-making, and teamwork. Cadets were trained to navigate physically demanding conditions while working cohesively in teams.
• Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC I, II, III). These camps formed the backbone of NCC training, covering drill, weapon handling, physical fitness, and theoretical knowledge. They served as the foundation for discipline and were crucial for further camp selections.
• Independence Day Camp. During the camp, cadets prepared for ceremonial participation, reinforcing discipline, coordination, and pride in national service.
• Chief Minister’s Rallies (I & II). Participation in these rallies showcased the unit’s drill precision and discipline at the state level, reflecting high standards of training.
• Inter-Directorate Sports Shooting Competition, Maharashtra. This competition enhanced focus, precision, and mental discipline, allowing cadets to represent the unit in a highly competitive environment.
• Thal Sainik Camp (TSC). One of the most prestigious camps, TSC, provided hands-on exposure to field craft, firing, obstacle training, and map reading, strengthening practical military skills.
• India–Bhutan Youth Friendship Camp. This international exchange fostered cultural understanding, diplomacy, and global exposure, broadening cadets’ perspectives beyond national boundaries.
• Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camps (Rourkela, Gopalpur, New Delhi). These camps promoted national integration through cultural exchange, helping cadets appreciate India’s diversity while building unity.
• Rock Climbing (Pithoragarh), Sports Climbing (Lansdowne), and Trekking Expedition (Haldighati). These adventure activities tested physical endurance and mental resilience, encouraging cadets to push beyond their limits.
• White Water Rafting Camp, Rishikesh. This activity emphasized teamwork, quick decision-making, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Special National Integration Camp, Jaisalmer. Focused on cultural unity and national pride, this camp strengthened interpersonal connections across regions.
• Advance Leadership Camp, Etawah. This camp refined leadership qualities, focusing on command, responsibility, and situational decision-making.
• Idea and Innovation Camp, Vijayawada. Encouraged creative thinking, problem-solving, and innovation, expanding cadets’ skills beyond traditional training.
• Chi Running Camp, New Delhi. Focused on endurance, fitness techniques, and injury prevention, promoting long-term physical well-being.
• Military Hospital Attachment Camp, New Delhi. Provided exposure to medical services within defence systems, building awareness of discipline and coordination in critical environments.Prime Minister’s Rally & Republic Day Camp (RDC). These prestigious platforms represented the pinnacle of NCC achievement, where cadets demonstrated excellence in drill, cultural performances, and national representation.
