The College Magazine is a document that reflects the democratic values LSR takes pride in and encapsulates its essence. It is illustrative of the legacy of the college since its establishment in 1956 and is the earliest institutional record in the public domain on LSR. The College Magazine serves as a platform of expression that constantly aspires to ensure equal representation to students from every community.
Students from all walks of life find their voices heard in this space that welcomes and encourages diversity of thoughts and perspectives with open arms. Although many of the language departments that were present earlier had been closed down due to the compulsions of circumstances, the College Magazine continues to honour the importance of linguistic diversity and till last year, it invited pieces written in 14 Indian languages along with foreign ones such as Russian, Spanish, Korean and French. Bearing the flag of one of the most prestigious women’s educational institutions in India, the LSR College Magazine symbolises the inclusive character of the college where each student feels empowered to carve out a niche for themselves.

The magazine consists of over 14 languages and is a testament to LSR’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Each year, the magazine takes upon a unique theme for students to express themselves. The magazine is more than a publication; it is a reflection of collective aspirations, a medley of diverse perspectives, and an ode to the power of unity. The magazine includes reports on college events, national and international news, themed/ unthemed submissions, language submissions, interviews, artwork etc. The magazine is a tool for reflection, and is a way for the students and faculty of LSR alike to come together in celebrating the institution’s rich legacy.
