The stated mission of Lady Shri Ram College for Women is to:

Empower women to assume leadership roles in a globalised, rapidly changing, technology-based nation and world.
Encourage long-term, future-based, solution-oriented innovative thinking.
Emphasize the power of collaboration, harmony and conflict resolution in the attainment of goals.
Promote ethics, human values and compassion in young minds.
Develop critical thinkers and responsive citizens who engage with social, political, economic issues and seek to make a change for the better.
Sustain democratic spaces for creative explorations of young women’ skills, aptitudes and talents
Contribute new perspectives to the world of knowledge in the pursuit of gender-based and other forms of social justice.
Enhance access and inclusivity in higher education, including digital access.
Provide a wholistic context of learning that encourages young women to aspire for success and to take setbacks as significant learning experiences.

Our Vision

Lady Shri Ram College for Women is an institution committed to nurturing young women who are equipped to achieve success in a rapidly changing, deeply inter-connected world. The college upholds the values of social justice, diversity and inclusiveness, and thus works to sensitise students to become creative citizens. These creative citizens understand the power of knowledge and the responsibility that comes with it, especially in the context of India. LSR is an institution that inspires young minds to work with optimism, grit and resilience in the pursuit of their goals. The institution prepares students to recognise challenges as opportunities particularly during difficult times, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. LSR shall continue to prepare its students with the self-confidence, skills and competencies they need to enter the world of employment or higher education. It shall continue to motivate young women to remain ethical, goal-oriented, and self-reflective. These young women can then confidently adopt positions of leadership, take healthy risks and shatter glass ceilings.

The vision of the institution harbours the task of optimising young women’s intellectual potential by providing them a fine balance of guidance and freedom as well as opportunities to engage with novel learning experiences. The emphasis, as always, shall be on a liberating pedagogy that endows young women with the capacities needed to flourish in a technology-based, evolving, multi-cultural India. Providing egalitarian platforms, supporting students that come from disadvantaged backgrounds, focussing on students’ needs, connecting students to the realities of the world they live in, while infusing the traditional with the modern and professionalism with humanism, are at the core of the institution’s vision for the future. LSR continues to pursue this vision even in the online mode of classes. The institution remains alert to indications of what the future may bring, such as hybrid education and prepares to make the best of such possible scenarios.

लैंगिक आधारित तथा अन्य प्रकार के सामाजिक न्याय की खोज में ज्ञान के संसार को नए दृष्टिकोणों से समृद्ध करना।
उच्च शिक्षा में समावेशिता के साथ डिजिटल पहुँच बढ़ाना।
एक समग्र शिक्षण परिवेश प्रदान करना जो युवा स्त्रियों को सफलता की आकांक्षा के लिए प्रोत्साहित करे और असफलताओं को महत्त्वपूर्ण सीख के अनुभव के रूप में आत्मसात करते की क्षमता विकसित करे।

डी श्री राम कॉलेज फॉर विमेन एक ऐसा संस्थान है जो युवा स्त्रियों को इस तीव्रता से बदलती और गहराई से परस्पर जुड़ी दुनिया में सफलता प्राप्त करने के लिए सक्षम और समर्थ बनाने के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध है। कॉलेज सामाजिक न्याय, विविधता और समावेशिता के मूल्यों को सहेजे हुए है, और इसी कारण वह छात्राओं में ऐसी संवेदनशीलता विकसित करने का प्रयास करता है, जिससे वे रचनात्मक नागरिक बन सकें। ऐसे रचनात्मक नागरिक ज्ञान की शक्ति और उसके साथ आने वाली जिम्मेदारियों को समझते हों, विशेषकर भारत के संदर्भ में। एलएसआर एक ऐसा संस्थान है जो युवा मनों को अपने लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति के लिए आशावाद, दृढ़ता और धैर्य के साथ कार्य करने के लिए प्रेरित करता है। यह संस्थान छात्राओं को इस प्रकार तैयार करता है कि वे चुनौतियों को अवसर के रूप में देख सकें, विशेषकर कठिन समय में, जैसे कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान।

एलएसआर अपने छात्राओं को वह आत्मविश्वास, कौशल और दक्षता प्रदान करता रहेगा, जिनकी उन्हें रोजगार या उच्च शिक्षा की दुनिया में प्रवेश के लिए आवश्यकता होती है। यह संस्थान युवा स्त्रियों को नैतिक, लक्ष्य-उन्मुख और आत्म-मंथनशील बने रहने के लिए प्रेरित करता रहेगा। ऐसी युवा स्त्रियाँ जो नेतृत्व की भूमिकाएँ आत्मविश्वास से अपना सकेंगी और पारंपरिक सीमाओं को तोड़ते हुए नई ऊँचाइयाँ प्राप्त कर सकेंगी।

संस्था का दृष्टिकोण युवा स्त्रियों की बौद्धिक क्षमता को अनुकूलित करने का कार्य करता है, जिससे उन्हें मार्गदर्शन और स्वतंत्रता का एक अच्छा संतुलन प्रदान किया जा सके। हमेशा की तरह एक ऐसी मुक्तिकारी शिक्षण पद्धति पर ज़ोर दिया जाएगा, जो युवा स्त्रियों को प्रौद्योगिकी आधारित, विकसित, बहुसांस्कृतिक भारत में फलने-फूलने के लिए आवश्यक क्षमता प्रदान करता है। समान अवसर उपलब्ध कराना, वंचित पृष्ठभूमि से आने वाली छात्राओं का सहयोग करना, छात्राओं की आवश्यकताओं पर ध्यान केन्द्रित करना तथा उन्हें अपने परिवेश और वास्तविकताओं से जोड़ना, साथ ही आधुनिकता के साथ पारंपरिक मूल्यों एवं व्यवसायिकता के साथ मानवतावाद का समुचित समन्वय करना संस्था की भविष्य दृष्टि के केंद्र में है।

एल.एस.आर. ऑनलाइन कक्षाओं के माध्यम में भी अपने इसी दृष्टिकोण को निरंतर आगे बढ़ा रहा है। संस्थान भविष्य की संभावित परिस्थितियों जैसे कि हाइब्रिड शिक्षा के संकेतों के प्रति सतर्क है और ऐसे परिदृश्यों का सर्वोत्तम उपयोग करने के लिए सन्नद्ध है।
