Ms. Violet Burman

Academic achievement: Dr. Violet Barman has persued her Masters from AJK, MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia and has merited her Ph.D from Delhi University. As an area of interest, she has achieved a Film Appreciation course from FTII, Pune.  Along with Film Appreciation, her area of interest are Documentary Film Production, Radio and Television Production, Photohgraphy and New Media.

Working experience: She started her career working for documentary film productions and Photography.  She has earned industry experience with names like Aakar Production House, NDTV, CRY and Apna Radio 96.9 FM.  In the context of academia, Dr. Barman has more than 10 years of working experience.  She has taught in institutions like Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC, New Delhi), Kalindi College, Delhi College of Arts & Commerce (DCAC), Delhi University and from 2016 she has been associated with Lady Shri Ram College for Women as Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Journalism.
