Bionote

Sujata Chatterjee Chowdhury is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Elementary Education, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, since 2009. She teaches courses related to Linguistics such as  Nature of Language, Language Identity, Language Acquisition, Acquisition of First and Second Language, Indian English and Position of English in India, Story Telling and Children’s Literature and Material Development for Language, She actively engages with teachers and teacher educators through workshops, consultancy work and professional development activities. She seeks opportunities to connect and interact with field practitioners through volunteering in different NGOs. She has contributed to the corporate social life of the college in various capacities, as Staff Advisor of Quiz and Elocution Societies and to education related projects under NSS, Member of REACH and so on.
