Bionote
Smriti Sharma has been teaching at the Department of Elementary Education, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi since the past two decades. She has done her PhD in Teacher Education, M.Sc. in Child Development and M.Ed. from University of Delhi and has been a Fulbright Nehru Doctoral and Professional Research Fellow at University of Washington, Seattle. She has been associated with several projects of government, non-government and private organizations across India for preparation of teacher education curriculum; faculty development of teachers and teacher educators; and evaluation and monitoring. She has presented papers in several conferences and published a few research articles.

Projects/Consultancy Undertaken

  • Consultant with the NGO Arpana Trust, Gautampuri, Delhi from July 2018 to March 2019 on a voluntary basis to envision and undertake an intervention for the Educational programme run to support schooling for slum children in Guatampuri by conducting workshops with students and teachers.
  • Member of Advisory Committee for NGO Eklavya, Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh from   October 2015 – September 2018 for their project with Jamsedshji Tata Trust entitled ‘Developing Models of Quality Education for Children and Teachers of two Tribal Blocks in Madhya Pradesh’.
