Dr. Tripti Bassi is Associate Professor in the Department of Elementary Education at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi since 2004. She has done her Ph.D titled ‘The Social Context of Sikh Girls’ Education: A Study of the Sikh Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Ferozepur, Punjab’, in Sociology of Education in 2018 under Prof. Geetha B. Nambissan from Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her M.Phil titled ‘Gender and Education: An Exploratory Study of Classroom Processes in a Primary School’ (2003) is from ZHCES, JNU and Masters in Sociology (2001) from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. She has published many research papers, chapters in books and has made paper presentations in National and International Conferences. Dr. Bassi has coedited Proceedings of the ICSSR sponsored National Seminar on ‘Alternative and Innovative Education: The Way Ahead’.
