To commemorate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (75 Years of Independence)’ Library organized a series of events
♦ Webinar
A webinar on ‘Information Skills for 21st Century’ organized by Lady Shri Ram College Library in collaboration with IQAC on 24 December 2021. Chairperson for the webinar was Principal Prof. Dr. Suman Sharma. The resource person for the webinar was Dr. Rajesh Singh, University of Delhi Librarian and Coordinator for the same was Dr. A. P. Yadav. The webinar was attended by around 400 participants. In the end there was question/answer session. The webinar was found very useful by the participants and they highly appreciated it.
♦ Exhibitions and Book Display
Library organized one week poster exhibition and book display from 12 April 2022 to 18 April 2022 to commemorate ‘DU Centenary year’ and ‘Indian freedom movement from 17th Century to 1947’. The exhibition and book display were inaugurated by the Principal Prof. Dr. Suman Sharma and they were highly appreciated by the Faculty members and the students. The exhibition was visited by around 2000 visitors. Visitors gave positive comments regarding the exhibition in the visitor register.
♦ Library organized one week poster exhibition and book display from 10 June 2022 to 14 June 2022 to commemorate ‘150th birth anniversary of Sri Aurbindo Ghosh’. The exhibition and book display were inaugurated by the Principal Prof. Dr. Suman Sharma. The poster exhibition displayed the spiritual and yogic works of Sri Aurbindo and spiritual partner “The Mother” MIrra Alfassa. The books in the exhibition were both on the works written by Sri Aurbindo and The Mother and the books written on them. Exhibition was highly appreciated by the Faculty members and the students. The exhibition was visited by around 1000 visitors. Visitors gave positive comments regarding the exhibition in the visitor register. The Principal also gave a talk on the contribution of Sri Aurbindo Ghosh.
