NSS initiatives to celebrate Har Ghar Tiranga

Visit of NSS Volunteers to Hope Charitable Trust to celebrate HAR GHAR TIRANGA (6th August 2022)

The volunteers of NSS-LSR visited The Hope Project Charitable Trust in Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin to raise awareness and feelings of patriotism in underprivileged communities, especially children. A discussion was held for the same wherein the children enthusiastically participated to converse about the importance and significance of the occasion. This was followed by the impromptu quiz where they were asked questions about the National symbols and our freedom fighters. The students also sang patriotic songs, danced, enacted a play that they would be performing on 15th August and the session ended with everyone paying homage to the country by singing the National Anthem together.

Visit of NSS Volunteers to Vidya NGO to celebrate HAR GHAR TIRANGA (8th August 2022)

On 8th August 2022, Volunteers from NSS-LSR celebrated independence day at the *IIT Delhi* branch of the NGO-Vidya. Students drew *posters* and wrote *slogans* to pay homage to the martyrs. Furthermore, they recited a *poem* that instilled a spirit of patriotism in everyone. A *quiz* was also held for them to spread awareness about the history of our country and the path towards independence. It was a highly informative and interactive session which was fruitful for the children as they learnt about the independence of India through fun activities and discussion.
