On 7 April 2026, the Economics department of LSR under the aegis of IQAC held an International Conference titled ‘Reimagining India’s Development: Growth, Equity and Sustainability in a Transforming Global Economy’. The conference brought together academicians, policymakers, and researchers from across the country. The conference began with the address by the Resident Representative, UNDP, Dr Angela Lusigi. It concluded with a keynote by Chief Economist and Senior Vice President for Development Economics, World Bank, Dr Indermit Gill.
Over 200 researchers and faculty across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels presented their research work in parallel paper and poster presentation sessions. The work presented in the sessions spanned diverse themes such as labour, gender, AI, public policy, taxation, and the digital economy. The sessions were chaired by eminent faculty from institutions including the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru University. Vibrant intellectual exchanges and rigorous academic engagement marked the conference.
