Lady Shri Ram College for Women was delighted to host Nav Agarwal, Co-founder of OneStepGreener and a student at Stanford University, for an engaging speaker session with students and faculty, organised by NSS x Prakriti in collaboration with OneStepGreener.
The evocative session invited us to look beyond a simple question of where we dispose of our waste and towards a larger question: where does it actually go?
Drawing from his journey with OneStepGreener, Nav shared how grassroots environmental awareness can translate into meaningful, scalable action. Since its inception, OneStepGreener has worked towards transforming waste management at scale, having recycled over 3.6 million kilograms of waste and engaged more than 500,000 individuals in sustainability.
The conversation highlighted that sustainability is not merely a future ambition, but a daily collective practice rooted in mindful habits, community action, and dignity for those who form an essential part of the waste-management ecosystem. From addressing environmental challenges at their source to encouraging young people to take up climate leadership, the session encouraged our students to rethink their own role in building cleaner and more conscious surroundings.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nav Agarwal for sharing his journey, insights, and vision with the LSR community, and for reminding us that meaningful change can begin with something as simple as taking “one step greener.” 🌿
