Orientation Day for Freshers at LSR

The new academic session began at LSR with a warm welcome to all the first year students through an orientation program held in the college auditorium on 20th July, 2019. The first year students were present in large numbers, keenly soaking in the ambiance of college. The program began with the college prayer. Then the principal Dr. Suman Sharma introduced the new students to the vision, mission and activities of LSR through an engaging presentation. She also spoke of the strong academic rigour at LSR balanced with an equally potent sense of social responsibility demonstrated through various projects being conducted within LSR and surrounding communities. 

Thereafter Ms. Savita Gopal (faculty member, Department of Commerce) introduced the first year students to the Innovation Council of LSR initiated by the MHRD, encouraging them to be innovative during their time at college. The highlights of the program also included interactions with two alumnae of LSR who have done us proud- Ms. Rashmi Singh (IAS officer and Secretary of NDMC), Ms. Bharti Beniwal (Lawyer at High Court of Delhi). They spoke of how their journeys at LSR had shaped their lives over the years. Both speakers were felicitated by Dr. Sharma. 

The LSR community now looks forward to a stimulating and engaging year for all the new entrants.
