Parwaaz 2026, under the theme ACCESS (Advancing Critical Conversations on Equity, Support, and Sensitisation), brought together diverse engagements on disability and inclusion was organised by REACH-Equal Opportunity Cell on 17-18 March 2026. The programme featured speakers including Nidhi Goyal, Pratishtha Deveshwar, Simran Sharma, Munna Khalid, Resham Talwar, Naman Misra and Prof. Someshwar Sati, whose sessions foregrounded disability as an intersectional and socially shaped experience shaped by structural and attitudinal barriers. An accessibility workshop conducted by Saksham Trust introduced participants to assistive technologies and accessible knowledge systems, highlighting tools such as screen readers, Braille displays, and digital libraries, while reinforcing accessibility as both a right and a shared institutional responsibility.
Across sessions, discussions encouraged critical reflection on inclusion in education, sports, media, and language, challenging ableist norms and fostering more inclusive, empathetic engagement. The Talent Hunt and Debate Competition celebrated creativity and expression among students with disabilities, and the Case Competition translated accessibility into practical, innovative solutions. Overall, Parwaaz 26 fostered dialogue, participation, and a strong commitment to building equitable and inclusive communities.
