On March 12, 2026, Lady Shri Ram College for Women celebrated the formal appointment of its new Principal, Prof. Kanika K. Ahuja. Following her official appointment on March 6, Prof Ahuja was welcomed by the Chairman of the college Governing Body, Shri Arun Bharat Ram, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students. In his address, Shri Bharat Ram expressed his full confidence in Prof. Ahuja’s vision to lead the institution to new heights.
The atmosphere in the college auditorium was one of warmth and appreciation. After receiving bouquets from the teaching and non-teaching staff, Prof. Ahuja spoke eloquently on her long association with LSR—from student to professor and eventually to her leadership roles as Acting Principal and now, Principal.
The event featured vibrant cultural performances by students and concluded with a celebratory tea for all attendees. The LSR community looks forward to working under the leadership of Prof. Ahuja.
