Lady Shri Ram College celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th August with immense enthusiasm and patriotic spirit to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand, fondly remembered as the “Wizard of Hockey.”
To mark the occasion the department of physical education & sports organized, a Poster-Making Competition on the theme “Sports for All.” The event drew large-scale participation from students across various departments and batches.
Participants expressed their vision of inclusivity, teamwork, and the unifying power of sports, with posters carrying impactful messages that highlighted how sports belong to everyone, irrespective of age, gender, or ability.
The overwhelming response reflected not only the students’ artistic excellence but also their deep understanding of how sports transcend boundaries of age, gender, and ability. Each poster carried a strong message that sports are a right, not a privilege, and should be accessible to all.
The entries were evaluated on creativity, presentation, and thematic expression. After much anticipation, the winners were announced, and their posters were specially acknowledged for their originality and depth of thought.
The event concluded with appreciation for all participants, making the celebration of National Sports Day at LSR a memorable occasion — one that blended creativity, inspiration, and respect for the sporting spirit.
