Archives

By learning about our past, we also learn the art to craft the future.

The purpose of the college archives is to educate, enrich, and inspire a deeper appreciation of the college’s rich heritage through the collected evidence of its history.

The holdings in the archives of Lady Shri Ram College are in regular series, starting from the year 1956, also the year of its inception. The records are in four categories: Public Records, Manuscripts, Private Papers and Digital Records. Mostly the documents are in printed format, but some very old ones are handwritten as well. In addition to all this, we have Motion Pictures, rate photographs, posters and electronic records.

The Archives Committee is responsible for the physical security of the records in custody to ensure their authenticity, reliability and proper use. The archives are housed in Flat number 17 of the college campus.
